Item Description
36" tall (to top of fabric hat) mechanical display figure has composition body w/jointed arms and legs as well as moving head/neck. Figure has fabric jacket/pants and hat as well as actual Buster Brown Shoes on figure's feet. 1930s shoe store display for advertising Buster Brown Shoes. Left arm is unattached and figure has been rewired, but is not fully functional. We recommend figure be fully serviced to restore functionality. Comes w/12" dia. metal display stand w/metal rod that goes into Buster's leg to secure him for display. Outfit has moderate aging/dust soiling and scattered wear. 1" tear to jacket front. Good/VG. Figure has some small holes to head where staples were used to secure hat (now loose). Face has scattered crazing and dust soiling. Figure does not stand on its own and needs propping. VG overall and would make for a great display piece for any Buster Brown collection. Rare display, obtained directly from the original shoe store owner. See Buster Brown Prototypes, items #2151-2152.
