See similar Roy Rogers belt art, item #2234. 7x12.5" stiff artboard has 1.25x7.75" painted design of four interlocking belt segments at center. 1950. Segment shows Little Lulu and Tubby, Herby from "Smitty," Tess Trueheart and B.O. Plenty from "Dick Tracy," as well as Shadow and Harold Teen. No text on the board but for a proposed series of inserts similar to the "Western Medals," designed to be collected and assembled to form complete belt. Second 13x14-7/8" stiff artboard has original art for two-sided comic character metal tabs, featuring Smokey Stover and Chief, Andy Gump and Min Gump, Dick Tracy and "Chester" (Dick Tracy Jr.) and Denny Dimwit w/other side folded down as designed. Artboard features several illustrations for use, showing tabs on belt, lapel, pocket, hats and used as bookmark. Both artboards have some lt. scattered wear but art remains clean and NM. Unique pair. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
