Item Description
Lot of six, showing progression/changes to these premium cards as the concept was worked on. 1950s. Lot includes three hand-colored/hand-lettered pieces, comprising five 1.75x3.5" cards, each features all original art. Cards feature great space images including spaceman w/portable jet, satellites, space stations, etc. along w/hand-lettered text about the image/scene. Some tape staining to left/right margins on backs, not affect front displays, which remain Exc. Unique. Gold was also developing a series of Tom Corbett trading cards and lot also includes 3.75x4-7/8" hand-colored stat featuring four card images. Back has some glue staining, not affecting front, which displays Exc. Also included are pair of 2-3/8x3.75" stats featuring Tom Corbett name/illustrations w/brief text (and additional provided lines for text) concerning card fronts. Backs have some glue staining but are VF/Exc. overall. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
