Item Description
14x20" on uncoated index stock. Signed in pencil in lower margin by Stanley Mouse. Mouse and counterpart Alton Kelly utilized Captain Zig-Zag the logo for the French rolling paper company for this poster advertising concerts at the Avalon Ballroom June 24 and 25 that featured Big Brother and Quicksilver Messenger Service. Essentially Mint. This is among the most popular images in the Family Dog series since the first posting in 1966. So coveted were the originals that two forgeries were produced during the era and the poster has seen three official print runs. First prints in top condition command prices approaching five figures making this extremely clean and crisp third print a cost effective alternative.
