Item Description
Not to be confused w/a typical Sunday Comics section, this is a totally different special insert titled "Graphic Section" measuring 15.5x21-1/8" and published as part of the "Chicago Sunday Tribune" April 23, 1944. Complete 10-page section features wonderful "Dick Tracy" front page, top half featuring Chester Gould art great cast of "Dick Tracy" characters, including - villains The Mole, Mr. & Mrs. Pruneface, Steve the Tramp, Littleface, Flattop, B-B Eyes as well as Tracy himself, The Chief, Dick Tracy Jr., Tess Trueheart, Pat Patton and Vitamin Flintheart. Bottom half features "The Country's Favorite Detective" feature on "Dick Tracy" creator Chester Gould, featuring a photo of him at center. This article is continued on second page. Faint horizontal crease at center as issued, but pages o/w remain clean, supple and VF/Exc. overall. Rare and first we've offered in our 51 years.
