Item Description
Lot of four 14-3/8x21-1/8" artboards w/pen and ink original art by Steve Muffatti for "Little Audrey" #31, published by Harvey in Aug. 1953. Art is complete four-page story, pages marked "P.20" through "P.23" at top left margins. Story features Little Audrey babysitting Baby Juniper w/comical results including Juniper in time-out crib, Juniper climbing into refrigerator, emerging from back door w/turkey leg, Audrey hammering boards over his crib and Juniper getting loose and get locked in bathroom to be rescued by Audrey who then unknowingly strips Juniper and then catches the naked baby w/a net. Juniper's mother returns and Audrey gestures to bird cage that holds Juniper. Last panel shows Audrey reading book about dogs while saying "Baby-Sitting In For The Birds!" Top right margin of each artboard has "Little Audrey" in blue pencil along w/"Business Girl" story title. Artboards have some lt. scattered margin wear w/pair of staple holes at lower right margin of first page, but o/w artboards are VF w/Exc. art.
