"Jim" is a magazine-sized publication featuring comic strips, illustrations and odd handmade items for sale, all pieced together by animator/artist Jim Woodring. Offered here is 13.25x17.25" sheet of art paper w/applied piece of vellum featuring pen and ink original art by Woodring. 1987-1990. Page features five panels, showing Jim recounting a prophecy he had received, showing him as a monster, climbing over fence while other, smaller monsters bite him. Next panel shows him among several dead creatures w/a shovel, digging multiple holes in search of "Hidden Neighbors." His search continues, w/him climbing wall into cemetery, questioning "What Am I Doing!?" and he prepares to dig up grave. All text is hand-lettered. Bottom has been signed "To Brian From Jim Woodring '92." Top center has mild ripple to vellum, but art is o/w clean and Exc.
