Item Description
27x41" one-sheet poster for the original release of the 1951 Columbia movie serial starring Judd Holdren as the title character. It is unique in movie serial history in that is the only film serial ever based on a TV program, "Captain Video And His Video Rangers." Poster is for Chapter 7 "Blasted By The Atomic Eye!" and features inset film scene w/Captain Video and Video Ranger aiming their ray guns. Poster features great space graphics w/Captain Video and Video Ranger in cockpit of spaceship as rocketship flies overhead. Bottom right has image of charging spacemen and robot army. Poster has been folded as issued, and shows moderate wear along fold lines and at fold crease intersections, w/3" horizontal split at bottom fold crease intersection and tiny splits along fold lines. Pair of 1.5" tears along upper/lower left margin. 1.5" tear along upper right margin. Bottom margin has 1" tear and archival tape repair to 3.25" vertical split along center fold line. Archival tape repair to 5.5" tear at top center. Top corners show moderate wear w/pinhole pulls and margin chipping at right. Good/VG overall but would look nice framed.
