Item Description
14x22-1/8" thin cardboard window card designed and printed by "Tilghman Press." This poster advertises a concert "Sat., Dec. 28th" at "Shrine Auditorium" featuring "Ray Charles His Orchestra And The Realets." Headline at top reads "An Unforgettable Musical Experience! ...In Concert" w/additional text in field "The Most Creative Musical Giant Of This Generation!" A .75x1" stain w/a .5" puncture repaired on reverse affecting the "S" in "Charles," a .25" hole in the field below the arch of the "C" in "Charles" and a tack hole in the margin at top center. Otherwise only moderate age toning at edges. Fine. This window card is among the most outstanding single artist designs we have encountered for Charles. Adding to the desirability is the legendary Los Angeles venue that remains an area institution for music lovers. Charles' legacy continues to grow as each generation of music fans discover his encompassing works. An exceptional artifact from the height of his career.
