Item Description
14.25x22" thin cardboard poster advertising a concert at the "Blue Note" in "Wichita, Kansas" on "Thurs. Nite Apr. 30" that featured "America's Incomparable Rhythmic Stylist Count Basie." Produced by "E. J. Warner Poster Corp." w/design featuring a floating head portrait at right and a grand piano at center. Four less than .5" tape pulls on reverse, a less than .75" margin tear at bottom right side that is stabilized on reverse w/archival tape and a corner bump at top left. Otherwise only light age toning at edges. VF. A similar tour blank design was used in 1965 but this example is from the first use of the image during the late 50s. Basie saw a resurgence at the end of the '50s and early '60s in part due to working w/legendary composer Quincy Jones on the album "Basie One More Time." A super clean window card from a Midwestern venue that is rarely offered.
