Item Description
1.75" w/metal back and horizontal bar pin. On curl is "ASCO Winona, Minnesota." Light wear in reflected light NM displaying Mint. This small group numbered 315 women all from the small rural "Blanco County" TX where LBJ grew up. The "Ladies" staged a rally on Oct. 24, 1964 that featured a 6 foot wide variety of this button on a parade float. Included w/this item are photo copies of: card advertising the parade; a letter on the group,s stationery imploring Blanco County residents to vote for "A Truly Native Son" and a picture of one of the ladies standing on the parade float. Among the most sought after LBJ presidential campaign buttons.
