Item Description
Original box w/illustrated lid contains 4x6.25" tin litho base w/dimensional tin litho jointed figure of football player w/spring-loaded kicking leg. Toy's overall height is 8". Wolverine, w/1919 patent date on base. Box has toy name and lid showing family playing w/it. Lid shows scattered wear along left side and has faint inked price. Original string looped through bottom to secure toy is present. Rare box is Fine overall. Toy has two moving pieces on base (aside from player's leg), one designed to hold back foot, the other designed to hold separate football. When back piece is triggered, it releases player's leg, kicking football. Player figure features great detail, including Sandy Andy "SA" uniform. Works. Toy has some scattered wear in the form of small nicks/scratches but is bright, clean and VF overall. Comes w/scarce original round celluloid football which has .75" crack along seam from use. Toy also comes w/wooden painted football as nice substitute. Great design.
