Item Description
4x7x4" illustrated cardboard box contains all tin litho toy made by Selrite Products, Inc. 1920s. Box shows toy in action and features other baseball imagery. Box is evenly aged and shows obvious wear to one end, which is missing both inner flaps and has both end flaps reattached w/tape. VG overall, but still nice for display. Toy features great design, and 3.5x6.25x1.5" tall base has toy and company name on end opposite winding key and baseball game images on others. Top has dimensional baseball player w/period uniform and ball stand. When wound, actions include ball in bowl is raised up by center plunger, player goes back and then swings at the ball, sending it off for a distance. Toy works well. The four included plastic balls are replacements but work perfectly. Toy shows some scattered wear in the form of paint nicks/scratches and shows more moderate paint wear to sides of player's head where metal was bent to form. Still Fine overall.
