Item Description
6" tall pocket flask size clear glass bottle has "IGCO" letters within diamond design on underside and original threaded tin cap w/cork liner. c. 1896. Label features full body image of The Yellow Kid, who holds shot glass in hand as whiskey bottle protrudes from his nightshirt pocket. Nightshirt reads "Holy Gee! Dis Booze Is Great, See!" Label shows obvious wear w/about 70% remaining. Most of bottom portion - which would have had maker's name - is missing. Bottom edge is uneven but most of Kid's feet remain. Label's top edge has minor paper loss w/left corner gone but "De" in brand name still discernable. Left edge is missing margin piece that removes most of letter "H" of "High." What remains of the label is quite clean w/strong color. Minor cloudiness of glass interior due to age. VG overall. Very rare and one of only two known examples.
