Item Description
1950s Captain Video pair. 2.25" tin litho tab issued by Purity Bread features photo portrait of "Capt. Video - Space Ranger" and has never been bent. Glossy and Exc. 1.5" dia. brass decoder w/pocket clip on back and a pair of overlapping plastic dials, one w/letters, other w/numbers for decoding. Front has .5" dia. highly domed ruby red plastic disc held by four brass prongs. This is lifted to reveal a paper image of Captain Video flanked by lightning bolt accents. Letters and numerals on the plastic wheels, which are sometimes rather worn, remain clear and Exc. as is the brass luster and Captain Video's image, and red disc. Scarce pair.
