Item Description
13" tall jointed composition doll in original dress w/attached collar, complete w/as issued white stockings and oilcloth shoes w/metal buckle/snaps as well as plain petticoat under dress. Ideal, 1938. Dress has pair of original ribbons attached as made. Dress has "Genuine Shirley Temple Doll" cloth tag attached on side. Doll is marked "Shirley Temple" on back of head and body. Original blonde mohair ringlet wig in place and in immaculate condition. Brown sleep eyes work, though eyes have aged a bit. Painted lower eyelashes. Open mouth w/upper teeth. Complete w/"The World's Darling - Genuine Shirley Temple Doll" 1-3/8" dia. pinback button w/photo portrait of Temple attached to front of dress. Button is glossy and Exc. Doll has minor condition issues that include lt. crazing to arms and one leg. Despite this, doll is o/w Exc. Doll requires a doll stand to display upright.
