Item Description
27.25x41" for the original release of the 1938 MGM mystery film directed by George Fitzmaurice and starring Melvyn Douglas, Virginia Bruce, Warren William, John Halliday, Nat Pendleton and Monty Woolley. Based on Maurice Leblanc's fictional gentleman thief and master of disguise, Style D poster features image of Lupin breaking into safe w/photo portraits of Douglas and Bruce at right. Printed by Tooker Litho. Co. of New York. Originally folded, poster has now been linen-mounted and has had restoration/color touch-ups along fold line and at fold crease intersections. Moderate margin restoration, w/touch-ups to several pin holes at top center (including in poster image area). Fine overall, but remains nice for display w/strong color.
