Item Description
41x79" for the original release of the 1937 20th Century Fox romantic comedy directed by Norman Taurog and starring Don Ameche, Ann Southern, Slim Summerville, Jane Darwell, John Qualen, Douglas Fowley, Allan Lane, Alan Dinehart and Stepin Fetchit. Great stone lithography by Joseph H. Tooker Litho. Co. Inc. showing Ameche and Southern portraits at top w/billboard design having film title, being passed by cars driven by the film's leads. As w/all three sheets, this poster is pieced together from three pieces, resulting in some uneven margins, w/bottom third being slightly off, but o/w images line up nicely. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted and has 1938-1938 film censor stamp on title and some scattered small areas of restoration along fold lines and at fold crease intersections. Moderate wear shows on Ameche's cheek. Scattered margins tears/creases w/area of aging at top center. Fine overall as linen-mounted.
