Item Description
27.75x41" poster for the original release of the 1913 Biograph Studios drama directed by Anthony O'Sullivan and starring Charles Hill Mailes, Kate Toncray, Charles West, W. Chrystie Miller, Joseph McDermott, Frank Opperman, Claire McDowell, Adolph Lestina and Williiam A. Carroll. Great stone lithography by Waterlow Bros. & Layton Ltd. of London, England features woman about to place child into wagon of hay as two men look on. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted w/color touch-ups along fold lines and margin restoration including moderate edge filling at lower right and 1x3.25" margin piece replaced at top center. Fine overall, but would frame for a VF appearance as color remains strong. Early and rare film poster.
