Item Description
23.5x32" for the 1940s French release of the 1938 romantic comedy directed by George Stevens and starring Ginger Rogers and James Stewart. Nominated for two Academy Awards, it was the only film to feature Rogers and Stewart together. Great stone lithography by Imp. Bedos & Cie of Paris, France is dominated by large portrait of Rogers by Vand'or w/small image of Stewart at left. Additional cartoon scene of two women fighting at lower left. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted w/color touch-ups along folds lines and restoration at fold crease intersection, which just happens to be on Rogers' nose. Margins have had minor restoration to fold splits and small holes at top/bottom center. Pin holes around margins. Poster has evenly aged and is Fine overall but still nice for display.
