Item Description
1-3/8x2.75" stub for Sept. 24, 1957 game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Pirates, in which the Dodgers won, 2-0. This was the Dodgers' final game at Ebbets Field before relocating to Los Angeles, CA. Ebbets Field had been the home of the Dodgers since 1913, but the team's growing popularity eventually outgrew the stadium (the smallest in the NL in terms of seating), and after stalled efforts to remain in Brooklyn, the team eventually headed for the west coast. Stub is for Grand Stand seating and had an issue price of $1.25. Stub bears both Dodgers logo and Ebbets Field name. Upper right corner shows moderate wear and top edge has paperclip mark. Fine overall. Historic piece of Dodgers history.
