Item Description
12" wide by 12.5" tall pointed cloth hat w/silk-screened design repeated on both sides; one side printed lighter than other. c. 1900. Text below image reads "Brownee Bread Fine And Crusty - Makes You Plenty Big And Husky." Some lt. glue residue along two margins, possibly as attached to scrapbook. Fabric remains solid and pliable. Interesting, early advertising. VF. Comes w/custom acrylic display w/plastic mount on back for wall display. 3x3.5x2.75" deep illustrated box w/slanting "roof" as designed to look like log cabin. National Biscuit Co. - Uneeda Bakers. c. 1920. Box has Palmer Cox-type Brownies illustrations while underside has colorful promo for "Chocolate Snaps" biscuits. Trace aging/wear, mostly to securing tab. .75" tear to left side, .25" tear to right. Still displays VF.
