Item Description
14.25x21.5" thin artboard has pen and ink original art for page 9 of "All-Star Western" #107, published by DC Comics, June/July 1959. Page features six panels, w/DC's Western character Johnny Thunder (no relation to the JSA character of the same name) attempting to woo teacher in his schoolteacher identity of John Tane until bandits show up, forcing him to face them down. Art is by longtime Silver Age "Green Lantern" artist Gil Kane (1926-2000) w/inks by Kane as well. Top margin has pasted "All-Star Western" title border w/partial issue number and date while back has Comics Magazine Code Authority stamp. Artboard has some margin handling wear and is evenly aged but art remains clean and Exc.
