Item Description
"Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire" was a multimedia project created by Lucasfilm Ltd. in 1996. Set between "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return Of The Jedi," the storyline explored the possibility of new Star Wars material, and saw the release of novelizations, comic books, video games, toys and trading cards. Offered here is a 15x18.5" open frame containing acrylic on board original art by the Brothers Hildebrandt for card #7 - "Xizor's Dirty Handiwork" - from Topps set of 100 trading cards that tell the story that was told across the book, comic series and game. Art shows Prince Xizor (an alien overlord of the largest criminal organization in the galaxy whose goal is to take Darth Vader's place at Emperor Palpatine's side) breaking man's neck. Both Greg and Tim Hildebrandt (1939-2006) have signed at lower right corner. Art is Exc. and ready for display as framed.
