Item Description
6x8.5" artboard features watercolors/mixed media original art painting by illustrator Kaja Foglio, who has provided art for "Magic: The Gathering" cards published by Wizards of the Coast. Art has been crafted in Kaja's iconic style, featuring close-up of woman displaying tattoo on her upper arm. This tattoo recreates Kaja's artwork for the "Bird Maiden" card from "Arabian Knight" Fourth Edition set. Art has nice metallic gold paint highlights and overspray effect and Kaja has signed at bottom right. Kaja original art rarely comes to market, the last piece that sold at auction was the original art for the "Shahrazad" card, which sold for $72,000 in July 2018. Art is NM. Comes w/handwritten letter from Kaja explaining her technique and what goes into card creation.
