Pair of prototype bar signs, featuring mixed media prototype original art for sign promoting 1960s Piels Light Beer, utilizing Piels advertising characters Bert and Harry. 13x14" sheet of vellum attached to stiff paper shows the pair each enjoying a glass of beer w/hand-lettered word balloons that read "We Appreciate Your Patronage... Call Again!" Clean and Exc. 15.5x19.75" artboard w/hand-cut black paper overlay forming frame around mixed media original art showing Bert and Harry standing by frame (w/area to attach photo of bartender), w/hand-lettered word balloons reading "Meet The Man... Who Will Serve You... Instant Refreshment!" Art appears to have had beginning of another design at upper left. Artboard has obvious age spotting and is Fine overall. Both are unique.
