Item Description
Pair of items promoting Castle Hall Cigars, 1920s. Large and impressive 23.5" tall figural stork counter or window display is formed papier-maché coated in thin plaster and hand painted. Stork has glass eyes, wooden plaster coated legs and wooden bill designed to hold included sign. Stork has surface hairlines to neck, w/.5" flake and legs also have moderate flaking. Fine overall. 9-7/8x11-7/8" thin cardboard sign features image of stork carrying twins towards castle. Sign advertises "The New Arrivals - Twins Cigars." Sign is holed as made and comes w/original string for placement in figural stork's beak. Sign has been glued to cardboard and has corner tips off upper corners as well as lower right. VG. Together, stork and sign make for wonderful display.
