Item Description
14-3/8x20.5" artboard has pen and ink original art w/blue pencil accents/highlights for inside front cover to "Archie's Mad House" #22, published by Archie Comics in Oct. 1962. Art by Bob White features two scenes w/Hilda the Witch on broomstick underwater, wearing diving mask and saying "Have You Seen The New TV Show Featuring Skin-Diving Witches? It's Called 'Sea-Haunt'." Bottom scene shows Chester Square looking glum as Lester Cool lights match on his foot as The Pink Martian does the same to him. "Archie's Mad House" title at center is cut-out paste-over. "Contents" panel at right lists some features in this issue. Of note, the last mentioned feature is "Sabrina - The Teen-Age Witch." This issue was the comic that Sabrina debuted in. Top margin has title, issue number and "2nd Cover" notation in red ink and bottom margin has some production notations. Back has copyright stamp. Left margin has strip of tape staining and artboard has some faint margin aging, but art remains clean and VF.
