Item Description
Set of six ranging in height from 2-5/8" to 3-7/8" tall. Made in Germany by Hertwig, 1920s. From "Winnie Winkle" comic strip that began in 1920. Set includes Winnie Winkle, Perry Winkle, Ma Winkle, Pa Winkle, Patsy Winkle and Mr. Bibb. All have character names and "Germany" incised on back as well as name of creator Martin Branner. Ma Winkle and Mr. Bibb have loose elastic while rest have tight elastic. Just trace wear and all remain bright and clean. VF/Exc. and much nicer than typically found.
