Item Description
10.75x12.5" framed. Original type 1 silver gelatin print is 5x7" and attached to cardboard mount w/clear tape on reverse . Mount is hand inscribed at top and bottom. At center of the front row is the then 17-year-old future president. He is listed below as "Poppy Bush 1B, Capt." This was Bush's final year at the elite preparatory school just before he enlisted in the Navy. Age toning to mount and minor fading of ink inscriptions. Photo has light edge wear and faint bends in top right and left corners. VF overall. Tack sharp w/high contrast. An incredibly historic image capturing Bush's passion for America past-time and in the dawn of his illustrious career as a public servant.
