Item Description
7/8" w/"Phoenix Manufacturing Co." back paper. Bland had the nickname "Silver Dick" and was a Missouri political force who had a strong chance at the nomination in 1896. In fact he lead William J. Bryan on the first three ballots but failed to surpass the two thirds majority. After Bryan's "Crown Of Thorns Cross Of Gold" speech Bland instructed supporters to support Bryan. Moderate surface wear only in reflected light. Exc. Rare.
