Item Description
17.75x23.75" sign features full color photo image of illustrated cardboard stage w/front illustrated to look like front of theater. For use w/painted composition figures of Popeye, Olive Oyl, Wimpy, each w/wooded feet and designed as "Self-Performing" ramp walkers. Toy is shown actual size (10x12x3.25" deep) and sign notes it was available "For Only $1.25 - Slightly Higher West Of The Mississippi - With Every Purchase Of $2.50," sign also noting the stage w/figures was "Now Sold Only By This Method!" Harding Products, Inc. ©1939 KFS. Sign has been folded into sixths as issued and shows just trace aging/handling wear. VF/Exc. As rare as the stage itself is, this sign is even rarer and the first example we've offered in our 52 years. Very impressive display piece and a must for Popeye collectors.
