14x22" thin cardboard poster for Aug. 8, 1957 concert at the Jefferson County Fair in Fairbury, NE featuring Grand Ole Opry stars June Carter, Cowboy Copas, Billy Gray, Billy Gray & His Decca Recording Band, Louise Rowe, Leon Boulanger and Norma Beasler, all of whom are pictured in photos over their names. Carter was a a five-time Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, comedian, and author who was a member of The Carter Family and the second wife of singer Johnny Cash. Cowboy Copas was killed in the same plane crash that claimed the life of fellow country musician Patsy Cline in 1963. Poster is evenly aged w/some spots of moisture staining scattered along left margin and corner tip wear. Some tape staining on back, which does not affect front's display. Fine overall.
