Item Description
Lot consists of four pieces used in production to create the photo cover for "Nyoka The Jungle Girl" #44, published by Fawcett June 1950. Lot includes original 13.5x19" artboard w/mounted mechanical photo production cover featuring Nyoka and man that have been neatly trimmed out and has had airbrush paint accents added around various photo montage elements. Top 4" area is another photo that was added to title area (chimpanzee was covered on published comic). Artboard has some corner tip wear and even aging, but Fine/VF overall. Comes w/8x10" and 11x14" glossy photos showing staged studio scene that was utilized in producing final cover. These have some scattered handling wear and larger photo has some tiny indentation marks at top center. Fine to VF. 10.25x15-x1/8" artboard w/7.25x10-5/8" complete cover montage as it was published. Lower right has handwritten production notations and artboard shows some scattered handling/aging. Fine/VF. A unique lot from the Fawcett Archives.
