Item Description
Pair of first printing posters for Avalon Ballroom concerts headlined by Quicksilver Messenger Service. FD-36 measures 15x20" and was for Nov. 25-26, 1966 concerts that also featured Big Brother & The Holding Company and Country Joe & The Fish. Art by Victor Moscoso features art nouveau design featuring poppy flowers and psychedelic text. Poster has "The Bindweed Press" text at lower right and red coloring is fairly bright variety. Lower left margin has 4.25" vertical crease and top left has faint 4" crease. Fine. Comes with Wolfgang's Vault Certificate of Provenance. FD-58 measures 14x19-7/8" and was for April 21-22, 1967 concerts that also featured Johnny Hammond & His Screaming Nighthawks and Charles Lloyd. Poster art by Rick Griffin features Family Dog mascot sitting inside flying pot. NM.
