Item Description
Kellogg's issued a variety of Superman premiums during the 1950s. This proposal was for "Plastic Flying Superman And Model Skyscraper" offer (which morphed into premium that was produced as Kellogg's "Flying Superman" premium). 8.5x12.5x2-7/8" deep King Size Corn Flakes cereal box (flattened and missing one top and both inner flaps at top and all flaps at bottom) has had cut out artboard banner panel adding at bottom of box's front panel. 2.5x8-3/8" to 6" addition features all mixed media original art, showing skyscraper image at left w/Superman figure emerging from top as if flying. Hand-lettered text reads "Free Inside This Package! Plastic Flying Superman And Model Skyscraper 0 See Superman Fly From The Top Of The Skyscraper Into The Sky!" Box has pencil note at top center reading in part "Superman Flying Skyscraper." Box shows obvious wear and is just VG while art remains clean and VF/Exc. One-of-a-kind item for the Superman collector. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
