Item Description
This ring is accepted in the premium hobby as a c. 1953 Buck Rogers issue as it was issued at the time when Sylvania TV held a Buck Rogers license and used the character extensively to promote the introduction of the Sylvania Halo Light TV sets. Premium creator Sam Gold (see auction section devoted to the work of Sam and his son Gordon) designed the Sylvania/Buck Rogers premiums. Ring base is brass and adjustable w/"S" company logo on each side. Ring top has pair of lightning bolts flanking a high relief white plastic light bulb replica which glows brightly in the dark. Bulb surface is marked w/full "Sylvania" name and "S" logo. This ring feature much more complete black text/detailing than typically seen. Luster wear on bands, but rest of ring retains nice bright luster. VF. Scarce.
