Item Description
This premium brass ring differs from all our previous examples. On those, the top outer edge of the ring was in copper luster while the center plate with embossed initials "CV" was in brass luster. On this first seen example, the metallic luster is reversed having the outer rim in brass and the inner "CV" metal  in copper. This alteration may have occurred at the end of the production run as this has the highest serial number we can recall of "238033". The bottom edge of the "CV" piece has a tiny brass  stem that joins it to the ring base. A piece of paper can be slipped under the "CV" disk and then the hinged metal pressed down thus pressing the "CV" seal into the paper. Because the stem holding the piece is so thin and fixed into position most kids quickly broke off this top cover and most examples of the ring, while they may look complete, are without this upper slightly moveable piece. We've had about eight examples of the standard ring in our 52 years with this being the first to have copper center and brass outer rim. NM luster and rare.
