Item Description
The Golds developed/produced a number of different iron-on transfer promotions over the years. This lot of three sheets features sci-fi/space theme images for 1950s premium proposal. 8x16" vellum sheet features eight different colored pencil transfer designs, including spacemen, rocket/spaceships and two badge/patch designs - "Astro-Jet Pilot" and "Planet Patrol Captain." Aside from faint .25 spot of staining to second design, art remains clean and Exc. Two thin artboards (approx. 8x9.5" and 8x10-1/8") each features two tempura original art designs w/hand-lettered instruction text below images of spaceman/rocketship and "Martian/Rocket 6X" on planet surface. Some handwritten production notes along bottom of each. Artboard w/spaceman image has .25" spot of staining and is VF/Exc. while other is Exc. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
