Item Description
This 8.5x11" stiff paper folder w/great graphics of famous Chicago Tribune comic strip characters including Dick Tracy and Terry w/Santa Claus to promote 24-page premium comic w/Christmas or World War II theme available from Sears department stores. Back cover shows Tracy and five store posters advertising this promotion. Folder originally came w/a copy of the comic book to entice store owner's to order them for their store. Inside folder has staple at top left as comic was originally attached. Characters shown aside from those already mentioned include - Smilin' Jack, Kayo, Harold Teen, Smitty, Herby, Smokey Stover, Shadow (from "Harold Teen") and others who appeared in the comic (which is listed in the "Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide"). Some lt. aging and corner tip wear. VF overall. Scarce due to limited distribution to Sears retailers. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
