Item Description
14.25x21-7/8" artboard has pen and ink original art by Joe Kubert for "All-American Men Of War" #49, published by DC Comics Sept. 1957. Art was for page 11 and was inked by Kubert. Page features six panels, w/top splash panel showing World War II aerial combat, w/several warplanes exploding in the skies above damaged PT Boat 64. The sailors aboard ask their skipper why their ship was attacked and he asks about the ship's damage. Bottom three panels features full image of bullet-ridden ship. Top has handwritten "Mighty Mosquito" story title in pencil along w/page/issue numbers. Top margin has "All-American Men Of War" title paste-over. Bottom right has Comics Magazine Code Authority approval stamp. Pin holes at top corners. Artboard has some lt. handling wear/aging but art remains clean and Exc. overall.
