Item Description
Listed as DeWitt-Sullivan (Paine) 1796-7. 1-1/8" copper, about uncirculated with traces of original luster. From a small number of medalets imported from England which satirized various political events of the day. Obverse reads "Pigs Meat Published By T. Spence London" with liberty cap above and below a pig standing on crown, scepter and shield. Reverse reads "Noted Advocates For The Rights Of Man/Thos. Spence/Sir. Thos. Moore/Thos. Paine." Scarce.
