Item Description
1.25" with Bastian paper used 1907-1920 but we estimate use as c. 1910. Shown is early 20th century bathing beauty perched above the ocean water on a piling with a brass mooring ring on its side. The woman confidently adjusts her red bathing hat as the wind blows her sailor outfit necktie and swimming dress and a pair of sea gulls soar in the distant sky. Condition is NM displaying Mint with high gloss, perfect centering and stunning color. An outstanding example of a button on the top 10 list of many collectors. Rarely offered. This and our Auction 220 example both spent decades in collections.
