Item Description
Sizes are 13/16" to 2.75". All items celluloid covered except the Harlow's Cafe/Los Angeles mirror is embossed brass. The other three mirrors in top and second rows are- first is for "Souvenir of the Ostrich Farm", this is first seen and refers to Cawston Ostrich Farm founded 1886 in S. Pasadena. Tiny age traces. Second mirror is for Plymouth Shoe Store. Tiny trace of age on lower edge. Third mirror is for Reich Hatters & Furnishers. Edges have stain marks. Row 3 has pair of stained but interesting stickpins naming Los Angeles Gas And Electric Corporation. Both c. 1900. Two buttons show state bear, one names Mathie Brewing Co. two relate to dental health, one is for newspaper sponsored "Walking Club" inspired by the famous walker Edward Payson Weston. Last button has early photo of harbor/beach on Catalina. Vast majority c. 1900-1920 with the LA County and Long Beach dental buttons c. 1930. VF to NM except as noted. Most scarce to rare.
