Item Description
1940s. 2.25" for "4th War Loan/Bethlehem-Hingham/Shipyard, Inc." Above the speeding "Hellcats" airplane is a second illustration representing the world globe. There are a couple of lines swirling around the globe. As if being thrown off into space, at left is a symbol representing the  'rising sun' symbol of Japan while at the right is the swastika symbol of Germany. Over-printing this design area is the slogan "To Rid The World Of Rats." Reverse has gray color metal back and bar pin. There are some small deeper than usual surface scratches, most which just catch reflected light. There is one 2" scratch from tail fin at right to left edge at 10 o'clock that shows from most viewing angles. Still, the cello is very clean and glossy. Fine, displaying VF. Only our third example.
