Item Description
Pair of die-cut brass premium badges issued 1940-1941 depicting Superman flying and holding flag w/"Superman American" text. Larger 1-5/8" tall version w/stars was used by Gum, Inc. and was offered to Superman Bubblegum Club members and then again in 1941 in conjunction with the Defense Club milk program. Tiniest trace of wear but o/w bright, glossy and high grade, NM example and as nice as these come. Smaller 1-1/8" tall version w/"Junior" text was awarded for submitting a folder complete w/stickers to the sponsoring bread company. Tiny pinpoint of red paint of corner tip of cape and lt. luster wear, but o/w glossy and Exc. Smaller version is the rarer of the two sizes.
