Item Description
High quality vintage 8x10" photo w/"Maruice - Chicago" photographer's mark at lower right shows Louis Armstrong and his orchestra c. 1930s. Armstrong stands at middle of photo holding trumpet in hand, a large drum behind him bearing his portrait. Photo has been boldly inscribed "Best Wishes To 'Carmine' From Louis Armstrong" in blue ink. Some lt. corner tip wear, but this could be easily framed out for an Exc. display. A superb example of a Armstrong signed photo in terms of both image and boldness of his signature. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
