Item Description
12x19" thin artboard w/pen and ink original art w/screentone accents. Art was created by comic book and fantasy artist Gray Morrow (1934-2001), the co-creator of the Marvel's muck-monster Man-Thing. Art was done in 1995 for Watson-Guptill's "How To Draw Comics Book Heroes And Villains" and features female studies w/three full body images of women depicted. These include a scantily clad jungle girl, a sexy vampire woman and a futuristic space heroine. All have been fully rendered in pen and ink w/marker accents to jungle girl's leopard-print bottoms and screentone accents added to vampire woman's outfit. Hand-lettered text at top of image reads "Mother Nature Is Bountiful In Her Provision Of Model Types. Seek To Make Them Convincing By Giving Them Distinctive Characteristics, Gestures, Expressions, Attitudes. Costuming Is Rarely 'Sensible', But Not To Worry - These Gals Never Seem To Catch Cold." Penciled profile images of a further 12 women appear below text. Aging to marker border and leopard print accents. Bottom margin has .75x2" strip of tape/label staining but art is o/w NM.
