Item Description
22x22.25" die-cut silk-screened thick cardboard store display standee w/easel on back depicts Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin above bold "Nuts" text. ©1940 Oliver Chadwick. Interesting anti-Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin tie-in regarding the Soviet/German Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact non-aggression pact signed in 1939, which paved the way for both Hitler and Stalin to forcibly annex areas of Poland and other Eastern European countries. The pact ended in 1941 when Germany invaded the Soviet Union, causing the USSR to become an Allied power for the rest of the war. Scattered edge/corner tip wear (most noticeable to tip of Stalin's mustache, which has some color touch-ups). Six holes run below images of World War II leaders and modern hooks and bags of peanuts were added by the consignor for display purposes. Standee can be displayed empty or w/bags. Fine overall. Rare and first we've seen in our 52 years.
