Item Description
"Captain 11" was a popular children's program that aired for over 41 years on Channel 11, KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, SD. Following the success of "Captain Video" and "Space Patrol" a club (Captain 11 Rocket Ranger) was formed. "Captain 11" ran from March 7, 1955 to Dec. 27, 1996, making it the longest continuously running children's TV program in the US. Offered here is extensive group including 6x9" illustrated mailing envelope, membership certificate and card (both have been neatly filled out in ink, certificate dated 1955 by member), 15 "Martian/Venus Credit" money sheets in different denominations, "Captain 11 Zoom Code" code card and "Captain 11 Super Zoom Decoder" sheet. Envelope has lt. aging and writing on back and is Fine while all others are NM/Mint. Comes w/7/8" dia. cello pinback button featuring photo of Captain 11 himself, KELO weatherman Dave Dedrick, surrounded by "Captain Eleven - Kel-O-Land TV" text. Glossy and NM. Very rare and the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
